TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- American Waste wants to know what service you would like?

New agreements with Traverse City and Peninsula Township allow American Waste to give more service options this spring.

American Waste is asking residents to choose their service level within the next week.

“Mailers with post card responders will be hitting mailboxes this week,” Kelly Ignace, director of marketing for American Waste, said. “We need replies to begin or confirm service with American Waste.

“The contract resulted in new service level pricing. So, we need to hear back from everyone — even current American customers.”

Traverse City and Peninsula Twp. residents will be able to choose from a menu of services offered as the result of the five-year agreements approved by their respective boards.

Choices include seasonal service, curbside cart service, flexible options for recycling, and a budget bag service.

All existing recycling drop-off locations will continue to be available for use and thePeninsula Twp. transfer station also will remain open for residents.

Residents wishing to complete or confirm their account options online should visit GoLocalGoAmerican.com. For more information, call American Waste at 231-943-8088.
