TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- The Father Fred Foundation Frostbite Food Drive Cash Match Challenge, Feb 1-28, generated $103,000 in community donations, greatly exceeding a challenge goal of $75,000.

Organizers wish to extend a very enthusiastic “Thank You” to the 500 community members who made the cash match so successful.  Funds from both the challenge and the match will go to support the Foundation’s food pantry.

“We are truly humbled by this support,” said Norm Bamberg, Operations Director.  “Thousands of families and children will be impacted.  The Father Fred pantry is averaging 61 food pantry visits each day.  This will give us the ability to make bulk purchases and round out our inventory of donated items.”

Missed this year’s drive?  Cash donations can always be made on line at FatherFred.org or mailed to PO Box 2260, Traverse City, MI 49685.  Call 947-2055 for more information.
