TRAVERSE CITY -- With the Frostbite Food-drive wraping up and donations a little below expectations, Father Fred is teaming up with a few local breweries to raise some extra money by offering a new beer.

It's called My North Passion Brew.  Half of the money raised from the beer sales will be donated to the Father Fred Foundation.

The beer is a medium full bodied brown ale.  Makers describe it as rich, malty with a pleasant hop flavor.

David Abeel, Director of Development for Father Fred said, "there are three breweries this year involved.  It's the Jolly Pumpkin, North Peak and Right Brain breweries.  They have made a special batch of this wonderful elixir and it will be on sale, we think through the rest of this week, it's going fast though."

Each brewery features a slightly different take on the recipe so organizers recommend you try them all.
