EVART -- Federal investigators are expected to arrive in Osceola County Tuesday to help with an armed robbery case.

The man walked into the Central Michigan Federal Credit Union Monday around 9:40 a.m. armed with a knife.  The suspect saw the teller counting money and grabbed $5,000 from her hand.

The man was tracked down with the help of the Evart Police Department's K-9 unit.   Investigators say he confessed to the crime.

There were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.  The teller did receive minor injuries when the knife cut her hand during the robbery.

The suspect will be arraigned on Armed Bank Robbery charges in the coming days.  The case is currently being handled by the Evart Police Department but the Police Chief tells 7 & 4 News the F.B.I. may request to take over the investigation.

The Evart Police Department was assisted by the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office, and the Michigan State Police.
