MECOSTA CO. -- UPDATE: Three people are recovering from injuries after 50 vehicles crashed in Mecosta County.

It happened Sunday evening between the mile markers 121 and 131.  The ten mile section of highway was shut down for about 5 hours while the crash was cleaned up.

Police did not say exactly what caused the pileup. However, heavy snow continues to move through the area as some counties are expected to get almost a foot of snow by Monday afternoon.
