TRAVERSE CITY -- A weekend celebration of winter fun continued Saturday in downtown Traverse City for the 5th Annual Winter Wow!fest.
Folks admired the snow and ice sculptures and crowed around the snow board rail-jam to watch competitors hurl themselves down a 30-foot high ramp.
Shanty Creek Resort brought some winter tubing for kids and several of Traverse City's most popular restaurants heated things up in the tent for the ”Soup’r Bowl” soup tasting competition.
Cherry Festival Coordinator of Media Relations Susan Wilcox Olson says," There's lots of entertainment, beer, wine, and all day long cherry pits bidding some of the all time favorites, pie eating, bed racing will be out later…so its just been a great weekend and it’s wintertime so get out and join us!"
Dog sled rides were the big buzz at the Grand Traverse Resort. The fest will wrap up Sunday night with a finale firework display at the Resort.
