The Department of Human Services will face some cuts under Governor Rick Snyder's budget proposal.

DHS would lose 300 field worker positions, before-and-after school programs, and other programs which would save more than $26 million.

7&4 talked with a DHS spokesperson today, who said the department will look at the operations.

"We're going to be looking at all of our services we provide to ensure that we're providing services to people who are truly needy, we'll be looking at efficiency, and we'll also be measuring success," said DHS Spokesperson Gisgie Gendreau.
