The three little girls all look exactly the same

ROGERS CITY, MI -- And they came in three.

A Rogers City family was expecting their fourth child, but they were in for a surprise.

They're being dubbed the "Darga Triplets" in Rogers City.

All three are girls and they're identical.

They were born on December 20th, and the odds of the triplets being identical is a huge number.

"We haven't found any difference, nothing," laugh Milanne and Darrin Darga.

There's Haven, and Eden, and Lily.  Pay close attention to what they're wearing, because that's the only way you'll know who's who.

"We’ll think we notice something, like, maybe they'll have a little special bend in their ear, and then, when you look real close, all three of them have that," laugh the Dargas.

Milanne and Darrin Darga were planning to have their fourth child, but when they went to the doctor, they got a surprise.  The three girls are Spontaneous Monozygotic identical triplets, which means, without the assistance of fertility drugs, an egg split three times, and these three girls look exactly the same.  According to one report, it's a one in 160,000 chance.  In another report, a one in 200-million chance.  There's not enough data to give a concrete answer.

"We keep their toenails painted, so they're color-coded that way," laugh the Dargas.

And they'll dress them in different colors.  Haven usually wears purple, Eden pink, and Lily, a white or pattern.  The family says the three babies come as a blessing.  2010 was tough on the Darga's.  Darrin shut the doors to his pizza shop.  He's still unemployed, in a city with a lot of people looking for work.

"There isn't a job market, so I haven't been able to find anything yet," said Darrin.

He said in a way, it's a good thing, because there's a lot of work at home, but he's also ready to get a job.  He says until he does, he's going to enjoy the moment.  And there are a lot of moments to be had.

"The 19th of February is Darga Family Triplets Day in Rogers City, proclaimed by the city council," said Mark Slown, Rogers City city manager.

Even a day to welcome Haven, Eden, and Lily to the community.

“Just everything, we get to experience it times three," laughed Milanne.

"Darga Family Triplets Day" is on February 19th from one to five at the Seniors and Community Center in Rogers City.
