Quit smoking classes this spring

TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Want to quit smoking or chewing?

The American Lung Association's "Freedom from Smoking" class could be your solution.

Classes start March 7th and is open to the first 15 people. 

Classes meet at 6:15-8:15 pm at the United Way of Northwest Michigan at 521 S. Union in Traverse City for 6 Mondays and 1 Thursday on: March 7, 14, 21, 24, 28, and April 4 & 11. Attendance at all of the classes is recommended.

"If you can afford to smoke or chew, then you can afford to quit," is the class motto.

The cost for the course is $150 (pre-recession prices) including materials
and taxes. Scholarships and payment plans are available. Receive a discount
if you pre-register early.  The first class is free if you just want to check it out.

The instructor is Lisa Danto, RN, Nationally Certified Tobacco Addiction Specialist (NCTAS) who has taught classes for nine years.
