Two men are recovering after a terrifying crash involving a train in Crawford County.

The train crashed into the SUV Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. near Old 27 and Wildfong Drive in Frederick Township.

Chad Brown and Thomas King crossed the railroad tracks in front of a northbound train. Both men were trapped inside the vehicle and emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to get them out.

King is hospitalized in stable condition Tuesday and Brown was treated and released from the hospital.

Sheriff Kirk Wakefield reminds everyone to pay close attention to rail road crossings especially if they are unmarked.
