BENZIE COUNTY, MI -- Hundreds of women bundled up and made their way to Crystal Mountain this weekend for the 13th Annual Women's Winter Tour.

The event tent opened at 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

Women spent the day skiing, snowshoeing, wine tasting and eating chocolate.

Organizers said the event is all about having fun and raising money to help women out of abusive situations.

Because of events like the Women’s Tour, the organization Active Women Now has raised more than $80,000 for charities like Madeleine’s House, Zonta House and the Michigan Legacy Art Park.
