3 hospitalized after overnight crash

MECOSTA COUNTY, MI -- Shortly after 12 a.m. Sunday, deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a one vehicle accident near the intersection of Jefferson Road and 155th Avenue in Deerfield Township.

Deputies said a Howard City woman, 50, lost control of her vehicle causing it to exit the roadway and overturn.  The vehicle was occupied by three additional passengers at the time of accident. One woman was ejected from the car, officials said.

The three passengers in the vehicle were transported to Kelsey Hospital in Lakeview with non life-threatening injuries and the driver of the vehicle was arrested for OWI.
