TRAVERSE CITY -- Helping the less fortunate seemed to be the big theme Saturday as the Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency hosted a Super Saturday Special for struggling northern Michigan families.
Poverty reduction partners like Career Tech center, Father Fred, Michigan Works, United Way, and Munson teamed up to host the free event.
Folks could take advantage of free tax preparation. There also was several workshops throughout the day about finance, housing, homelessness and foreclosure, legal services, and cooking for your family.
