NMC seeing more non-traditional students
TRAVERSE CITY -- The spring semester started at Northwestern Michigan College Friday.
Once again, the growing college saw an increase in enrollment from last spring, but what is really catching the administration's attention is the high number of non-traditional students.
Close to half the number of student enrolled this semester are over the age of 26-years old.
Director of Admissions, Jim Bensley says, "Especially in the past year and a half, a lot have come through our doors because there weren't many jobs out there or they got laid off and they wanted more experience."
