It's a family recipe that has turned into an international sensation.

TRAVERSE CITY -- Herkner's Cherry Topping started as a family recipe for a Traverse City family.  Years later three sisters came together to turn their parents homemade specialty into a cherry topping that is being sold well beyond northern Michigan.

The topping is made from Montmorency cherries, is all natural and gluten free.  Lynda Herkner and her sister Judy Harmon along with their sister Sue say the cherry topping has its own one of a kind, unique cherry pie taste.
