TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- On Monday, sixth grade students participating in Creative Living classes at TC East Middle School and TC West Middle School delivered handmade heart pillows to patients in the Munson Medical Center Cardiac Unit.

Teachers said the students have been sewing the heart pillows as part of their curriculum.

The goal is to teach students the value of helping others in the community and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Over 100 heart pillows were delivered to staff and patients at Munson Medical Center.
