MECOSTA CO. --      A Kentwood man is behind bars tonight in Mecosta County on child kidnapping charges.

28 year old Josh Hain was arraigned today in 77th District Court on the felony.  He pled not guilty.

Officers say Hain met a 12 year old Big Rapids girl on the internet and agreed to pick her up at Crossroad's Charter Academy January 5th.  He then took her to Grandville and to Kentwood.  Hain returned her the next afternoon to the Big Rapids Wal-Mart and drove away.

Officers are now investigating criminal sexual conduct charges against Hain.

He is being held in the Mecosta County Jail on $500,000.
