Snowmobile training classes offered in Charlevoix Co.

CHARLEVOIX CO., MI -- Charlevoix County Sheriff Don Schneider is announcing a snowmobile training class for those citizens who need to comply with the Michigan State law.

Training will take place at the Charlevoix County Sheriff's Office on January 22, 2011 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

A second class will be offered at Boyne Falls Fire Dept. on January 23, 2011 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.  Students only need to attend one of the classes.

State law requires those who do not have a valid Michigan driver's license must complete and pass the above approved training program.  With successful completion of the course, each student will be provided a certificate of training allowing them to operate under Michigan State Law.

To attend this free training you must go to the Charlevoix County web page:  www.charlevoixcounty.org and go to the "Sheriff's" link to fill out the application and forward the type written application to the Sheriff's Office at 1000 Grant St., Charlevoix, MI   49720, attention:  Deputy Genna Gauthier.  You may also E-mail your application to gauthierg@charlevoixcounty.org
