TRAVERSE CITY -- Wedding bells were ringing Sunday afternoon at the City Opera House in Traverse City.
The 17th annual downtown bridal show kicked off at noon and was free of charge to the public. It featured 36 local experts in all phases of wedding plans.
Consultants and displays showcased virtually anything related to weddings like wedding gowns, bridesmaids' dresses, tuxedos, photography, invitations, music, flowers, decorations, registry items, hotel accommodations, and receptions locations.
Marketing Director of the Downtown Traverse City Association says, "What's great about the downtown bridal show is that it utilizes local vendors, the time of the year is great, a lot of people tend to get engaged over the holidays and on New Years so it's just a fun day to get in that mode of planning your wedding... trying cake and having your friends and family with you...just seeing what you really like for your big special day."
Before the event wrapped up at 4:00 p.m. there was a bridal fashion show finale.
The event was hosted by the Downtown Traverse City Association.
