TRAVERSE CITY -- It was fun-day Sunday at the Great Lakes Children's Museum in Traverse City Sunday afternoon.

The event featured local Lego teams performing demonstrations of their Lego robots and hands-on activities for folks to build their own Lego creations.

The Traverse City Central High School Robotics Raptor Team showed off their 2009 robot and answered questions.

The Old Mission Elementary Lego League Team the Peninsula Panthers were also there and brought their 2010 Lego robot.

Coach of the Peninsula Panthers Lego Robotics team Tony McGinty says, "It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to influence the students in the type of programs that are available and get them interested in the technical as well as the process models that are associated with the robotics programs."
