HARRISON -- A Harrison man is behind bars after he allegedly demanded money from a store clerk.

It happened Saturday afternoon at the Family Dollar on N. First Street in Harrison.

The clerk said Ricky Rautanen, 56, came into the store demanding all of the money in the register.  After the employee refused, Rautanen allegedly suggested he may have a gun.

Employees at the store called police and Rautanen waited outside to be arrested.  No weapons were found.

Rautanen is charged with attempted armed robbery and is held on $100,000 bond.  He will be back in court on January 18.
