Runners, no need to let your training drag during the winter. The National Cherry Festival has announced plans for a new St. Patrick's Day 5K run. It will be held in Traverse City March 12, 2011.
You can help join in the planning fun too. Organizers are taking your suggestions to name the race. Ideas include Leaping Leprechaun, Lucky Charm and more.
In recent years the National Cherry Festival has worked to make the festival a year round celebration with the introduction of the Winter WowFest events.
