EMMET CO., MI -- Emmet County Sheriff Pete Wallin has put out the following BOL alert for Northern Michigan:
The following subject is wanted for various ordinance violations and other merry misdemeanors: Subject is a white male, 5 feet tall, weight 350 lbs., age unknown. Subject has white hair and a long bushy white beard. Subject also wears wire-rim glasses and a red suit, with white furry trim and black boots.
Subject enters homes and dwellings via the chimney. He should be driving an older model sled with silver trim. Vehicle is powered by eight reindeer, and a ninth reindeer with a red beacon. Vehicle will only land on rooftops.
Subject driving has numerous priors, such as improper use of red light and improperly registered reindeer. Vehicle registration is NP1 (North Pole 1).
Once inside the home or dwelling, the subject will only take milk or cookies, but will leave brightly wrapped gifts around a tree. Subject will then exit via the chimney. Once he leaves the residence, he will head south.
Known to many as Santa Claus AKA Saint Nicholas or Kris Kringle. If seen, do not attempt to detain or apprehend. Just wave and wish a Merry Christmas.
Authority: Sheriff Pete Wallin
