TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Wednesday kicked off Michigan Blood's seventh annual Hospital Holiday Challenge.
During the event, Western Michigan hospitals join in a spirited competition to see which hospital can achieve the highest increase in donors over last year's donor sign-in.
Last year, Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital won by registering more than double the number of donors signed in the previous year.
Drives are scheduled through January 7; the winner of the Hospital Holiday Challenge will be announced the second week of January.
