Gaylord police have suspect in custody

GAYLORD, MI -- Gaylord Police have arrested a 60-year old female robbery suspect.

The Department received a call around 4pm Thursday of an attempted bank robbery at Fifth Third Bank in Gaylord.  The suspect, a female, did not get any money from Fifth Third bank.

Officers, as they were searching for the suspect, located the female leaving Citizens Bank.  Gaylord police arrested the individual.  Officers then found out that the suspect had just robbed Citizens bank.

Police say the female suspect, from the Gaylord area, did not have a weapon and there wasn't anybody injured.

The suspect was arrested for robbing the Citizens bank and for attempted robbery of Fifth Third Bank.

She's currently lodged in the Otsego County Jail on the charges.
