An investigation is underway after a weekend snowmobile crash claimed the life of a downstate man. According to the Tuscarora Police Department, a 23 year old man crashed his sled just after 2 am on Sunday. The accident happened on Fisher Trail near King Road in Cheboygan County. It appears the man left a gathering on a friend's snowmobile, traveled down Fisher, turned around, and then struck a wood driveway marker. The driver was not wearing a helmet, and investigators say alcohol is believed to be a factor.
