LONDON (AP) — Wintry weather is still wreaking havoc with air and train travel in parts of Europe.
Thousands were stranded overnight at London's Heathrow Airport amid an increasing number of flight cancellations. But some other major European airports are resuming normal operations after several days of weather delays.
Twenty-year-old Suzie Devoe has spent two nights sleeping on the airport floor, waiting for a flight that would take her back to the United States for the holidays. The Bristol University student says it's been a "complete nightmare."
The strain is also being felt in Brussels, where there's a shortage of de-icing liquid at the airport. Officials say they can't guarantee departures for planes that need de-icing until at least midnight tomorrow.
Tempers are on the rise at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, where one stranded Irish traveler gave an earful to France's transport minister, who visited the airport to check on passengers.
