Shooting has schools looking at safety
TRAVERSE CITY -- Just days after a Florida man opened fire during a school board meeting, school officials are taking a look at their own protection.
While no school officials were killed in the Florida tragedy, the random act of violence has the attention of school leaders across the country and right here in northern michigan.
7&4 News talked with TCAPS, Kingsley, Elk Rapids, and Suttons Bay school districts about their safety plans... and eye opening experiences.
