CADILLAC -- A police chase ends in a crash in Cadillac.
The suspect involved in the chase crashed his car and rolled it in front of Burke's Restaurant near M-115 and M-55 around 9:35 a.m. Thursday.
The Wexford County Sheriff's Office said it began as a routine traffic stop. When deputies ran the plate for the car it showed up as stolen out of Grand Traverse County. While waiting for backup to arrive at the scene, the suspect drove off.
Deputies say after about a ten mile chase, the driver hit slush and lost control of the car. He crashed and rolled the car just outside Burke's Restaurant. Deputies and Cadillac Police Officers surrounded the car, not knowing if the driver had a gun. It was determined later he was not armed.
The suspect was hurt and was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital, where he is believed to be in stable condition.
