Break-in spree has deputies on the lookout

MECOSTA COUNTY, MI -- Deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office are investigating three separate breaking and entering complaints.

The first reported breaking and entering occurred in Aetna Township, where a home was forcibly entered and a large screen TV and other items were stolen.

The second also occurred in Aetna. Deputies said a home was entered and several long guns and a laptop computer were stolen. 

The third occurred on the west side of Canadian Lakes in Austin Township. A seasonal home was forcibly entered and snowmobile gear, tools and other items were taken.

It is unknown if any of the robberies are related. However, all three occurred sometime within the last couple of weeks.
