A good samaritan who was trying to help a fellow driver in an emergency was robbed at gunpoint in Antrim County.
It happened around 9:45 p.m. Sunday on M-88 and Lake in Custer Township.
The Antrim County Sheriff's Office says the Mancelona man was driving on M-88 towards Mancelona when he noticed a car alongside the road with its 4-way emergency flashers on.
When he stopped to help the man says the driver pointed a gun at him and took money and prescription drugs before driving off.
"This is just an isolated incident, I would really encourage people just to make a phone call that they saw a vehicle broken down, whatever location it is, and we would send a patrol car as we free up to do that," said Antrim County Sheriff Daniel Bean.
The Sheriff’s Office has developed a person of interest and the investigation is continuing.
