Man arrested for Breaking and Entering

CHIPPEWA, MI -- The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department responded to an alarm at Wells-Car-Go at approximately 4:56 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, a broken window was located and while searching the business, a man was found hiding underneath a car that was parked inside the business. 

Deputies said the individual broke into the cash register and attempted to steal a knife, flashlight and screwdriver. 

The Harbor Beach man, 23, is charged with Breaking and Entering, Possession of a Burglary Tool, Larceny in a Building and Malicious Destruction of a Building.

He is currently being held at the Isabella County Jail. His bond is set at $30,000. A name is being withheld pending arraignment.
