PETOSKEY -- Whooping cough continues to be a problem in Emmet County.
The Health Department of Northwest Michigan confirmed two new cases within the last week. That brings the total up to 22 cases in Emmet County. Normally they only see one or two.
Officials are considering this an outbreak. They recommend that any adult who is going to be around infants to get immunized because whooping cough because it is much more severe in babies.
