TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Traverse City Kids have the chance to do some pre-skiing and snow boarding at Mt. Holiday's 6th Annual Snowvember Fest.
The celebration kicked off Saturday at 5:00pm. The back hill was transformed into a winter sports paradise with pre-season ramps, rails and a whole lot of snow.
Over one-hundred kids will compete and it's all to raise money for Mt. Holiday's Terrain Park, which the kids will use this upcoming winter.
Mt. Holiday Volunteer Mark Goethel says, "Mt. Holiday raises money for the training park to keep new features coming in to the training park so each year there's always something new for the kids to ride and it just keeps things fun and we do it mainly for the kids."
A group of community volunteers run the event.
About one-thousand spectators are expected to be there.
