Friendship Shelter friends and volunteers shed light on homeless
GAYLORD, MI -- What’s a better way to become aware of something that's very real?
Well try living it for a night.
November is Homeless Awareness Month, and last night in Gaylord, several people spent the night outside and slept on the courthouse lawn.
The idea was to bring light during the night to the problem of homelessness, and it was sponsored by the Gaylord Friendship Shelter.
It was also a night of fundraising for the shelter.
