STANLEY, N.D. (AP) -- A Presque Isle County man who was helping install underground electrical lines for an oil well site in northwest North Dakota was killed when trench-digging equipment ruptured a natural gas line.

The Mountrail County Sheriff's Department says 30-year-old Thomas Chojnacki, of Posen, Mich., died Monday afternoon.

Authorities say he was thrown about 100 feet when the line ruptured northeast of Tioga.

Two other workers were taken to a Tioga hospital and later released.

Chojnacki was working for a company installing lines for a rural electric cooperative.
