ROSCOMMON COUNTY -- A six month investigation into a food stamp fraud could land two business owners behind bars for up to 20 years.

Local, state and federal law enforcement officers busted the two Roscommon County businesses yesterday.

According to the Gerrish Township Police, the owners of Northwinds Motor Lodge and Northern Steak Company in Roscommon were operating a criminal enterprise.

They say the businesses were conducting fraudulent bridge and snap card transactions.

The owners of the two businesses face multiple felony charges, the largest penalty being 20-years in prison.
