UNION TWP. -- A Gratiot County woman is dead after an accident involving a fork lift at the Isabella County Recycling Center.
It happened Monday around noon at the center on E. River Road in Union Township.
The Isabella County Sheriff's Office says a fork lift driver was moving a recycling bin when he hit Sharon Welling, 52, of St. Louis, MI. Welling was seriously hurt with injuries to her leg and pelvis area. She was airlifted to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Welling died from her injuries Tuesday morning.
The accident remains under investigation.
