Voters across the state are in the process of electing a new governor and several other key races.
Voters on Tuesday also will select a secretary of state and attorney general, while choosing between two incumbent justices and two newcomers for the Michigan Supreme Court.
They'll also select new faces for a majority of state Senate seats, and decide the fate of 110 state House seats.
Voters will decide if the state should hold a convention to rewrite the state constitution and if politicians convicted of felonies should be barred from office.
Officials estimate about 3.8 million voters will turn out, 52 percent of Michigan's 7.3 million registered voters.
Polls close at 8 p.m. EDT in most of Michigan, and 8 p.m. CDT in parts of the Upper Peninsula.
