BENZIE COUNTY -- The wind is causing problems across Northern Michigan.   Several power lines are reported to be down across the area, and are causing some schools to dismiss early.

Benzie Central High School and Middle School will be dismissed at 2:16 PM Tuesday due to a power outage.  Crystal Lake Elementary will be dismissed at 2 PM. All other schools in the area are not impacted by the outage and will be dismissed at regular times.

Some students with Detour Area Schoos are also impacted by the storm.  School leaders say the Drummond Island students will be dismissed early to catch the 1:40 ferry.
