HARRISON -- More details are being released on a fatal house fire in Clare County.

Fire crews were called to the home on Hampton Road in Harrison Friday.  When the fire was put out a body was found inside.

The autopsy shows James Bennett died of asphyxiation from the smoke.  The Clare County Sheriff's Office says Bennett was a friend of the homeowner.  The homeowner was not inside at the time of the fire.

Investigators say the fire was started after the kitchen stove was left on.
