TRAVERSE CITY -- A Grand Traverse County Catholic High school has made the honor roll for a second time.
Traverse City St. Francis has been named by the National Catholic School Honor Roll as one of the best 50 catholic secondary schools in the U.S.
Reverend Bernard Hebda from the Gaylord Diocese made the announcement to the school Monday.
The honor recognizes schools that excel in academic excellence, catholic identity and civil education.
Superintendent Mike Buell says,"It's a great award, mostly for the kids, our families and the faculty. You know the kids are with faculty members six hours a day, our school principal has done an excellent job with leadership but top fifty in the country goes to our faculty and families...so very happy for them."
