Cheboygan student organizes breast cancer fundraiser
CHEBOYGAN -- A Cheboygan High School senior has inspired her classmates to help raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer.
Friday Oct. 15 the high school came to its football game decked out in pink. That's because for the second year in a row Kristin Stempky organized a t-shirt drive at Cheboygan High School -- the proceeds are going to breast cancer. Students sold t-shirts throughout the week and wore them to Friday night's football game. This year they raised $6,000. Last year they raised $5,000.
