ELK RAPIDS -- An investigation is underway after an Antrim County house is destroyed by fire.
It happened Tuesday night around 9:00 at the home across from The Village Market in Elk Rapids.
The one and a half story house was engulfed by flames and several fire departments and emergency crews responded.
Officers at the scene say the home was vacant at the time and did not have working gas or electricity. There was a concern the fire could spread to nearby homes.
Crews were on scene for several hours after the fire was put out trying to figure out what sparked the blaze.
