CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN -- Saturday marked Crystal Mountain's Fifth Annual Peak2Peak Mountain Bike Classic and yet another record turnout with just over 550 riders.

The race featured three divisions running an 11-mile course within and surrounding Crystal Mountain.

Beginners ride one loop, the Sport Division rides two laps, and the Elite Division rides three laps.

The Top Man and Woman in the Pro-Expert Division each received a $400 prize.

A number of riders use this race as a warm-up for the Iceman Cometh taking place in Traverse City in a few weeks.

Saturday’s event also included a Tour de Tykes and Tour de Tiny Tykes race for kids 12 and under.
