FRANKFORT -- The 2nd annual Frankfort Film Festival is just days away. It starts up next Thursday and will last until Sunday.
The event will be held at the newly restored Garden Theater. Festival goers can take a step back in time and enjoy the single screen for a change.
Movie fans can expect to see many exciting movies and some special appearances by innovative filmmakers.
The event will feature top films from festivals around the world, documentaries and full length feature films.
Co-owner of the Garden Theater Rick Schmitt expects that Saturday evening will be a big night because they will be showing "Winter Bones," a film that won the Jury Award at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
Schmitt is excited about next week's festival and says, "We have many films that are of interest, that have come from around the world and it's just fun to bring them to Frankfort and to show them to the community here and celebrate everything that's great about Northern Michigan."
