Republican Howard Walker is hoping to make a return trip to Lansing. Democrat Bob Carr is hoping to make this district a powerhouse in the state. One of these two men will become the next state senator representing the 37th district which covers 8 counties including the tip of the mitt and the Eastern U.P.  Jason Allen currently serves as the senator, but is term limited.
