A bigger, better Goodwill store will replace the small, crowded older one
GAYLORD, MI -- A new option for low income families and thrift shoppers -- Goodwill opened its new store today in Gaylord.
Store officials say the store's popularity in Gaylord justified the need for a larger store.
They say the store has a sales floor that is 75-to-100 percent larger than the old store's floor.
Another perk of the new store, it has a drive-up donation center, something that could drive people to donate more.
"We've really outgrown our old store. We've been here for seven years, the community has been very supportive, and we just really outgrew it, and as we begin to expand to other areas, this will become a central location of distribution in our salvage and environmental operations as well," said Ruth Blick, Goodwill Director of Marketing.
The new store is located near the Walmart Plaza in Gaylord, on Parkway Drive, right in front of Lowes.
The new store will be open seven days a week.
