EMMET COUNTY -- A third person is behind bars stemming from an armed robbery investigation that began more than a year ago.

Brian Haag of Emmet County is charged with three felonies including: armed robbery, felony firearm and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Haag faces life in prison if found guilty of the crimes.

The Emmet County Sheriff says the arrest stems from the June 2009 armed robbery of Boyne Highlands where more than $21,000 was taken from the night auditor at gunpoint.

Sheriff Wallin states Haag is one of three that have been arrested for this incident and expects more arrests in the future. Early this month, Jame Rakoniewski of Petoskey plead to unarmed robbery and John Ruppen of Traverse City plead guilty to armed robbery and are currently awaiting sentencing.

The sheriff expects more arrests to be made in the case.
