PARADISE TWP. -- A burned body is found in a car in Grand Traverse County.

Michigan State Police say someone reported a vehicle fire Monday around 7:00 p.m. on a two-track off of Van Pelt Road in Paradise Township.

The Kingsley Fire Department put out the fire and found what was believed to be a white man in the driver's seat.  The body was burned beyond recognition.

Detectives and a fire investigator from the MSP Fire Marshal Division are looking into the case.  The man's identity is not being released until family is notified and until there is a full forensic identification made.
